Today is the first day in a new year of so-called impossibilities, or as I like to call them Him-possibilities.

I was reminded of this reality, early this morning as I sat with my husband and we read Luke 18:27 (first scripture of the year):

But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”

That’s a pretty powerful statement. Especially if you think about the little boxes we try to put God into, because our finite mind cannot fathom the breadth and depth of the possibilities He is capable of.

I would have called you a liar if you would have told me, the first thing I’d do in any new year was read scripture with my husband, yet there I was. No doubt, God is faithful. Let me tell you, I’ve seen it in my life, time and time again, as I’m sure you have too.

So if we know of Him-possibilities in everyday situations, why do we struggle with believing the same in our businesses or ministries? Seems a bit like selective memory to me.

This year, as you lay out your entrepreneurial plans and goals, remember to think really, really big. Leap beyond what your itsy-bitsy little brain can dream up and set your sights on your big God. Then, take that leap to the greater things He has for you.

The first day of my year of Him-possibilities began with something I thought was impossible. Yet, He had other plans. I simply can not wait to see the other impossibilities He is going to do.
